Empowering Houston's Youth Annual Back to School Drive!

Gear up for greatness! T.H.R.U.S.T. CDC is on a mission to ensure our local students walk into the new school year with the confidence, tools, and support they need to succeed. This year, we are proud to be distributing backpacks and essential school supplies to up to 500 children right here in the city of Houston.

We believe in supporting the whole child, which is why we’ve teamed up with an incredible network of community champions, including Hardy Outreach, Ruth's Spoils, and Dr. Tamecka Knight. Come out for a day of community connection, resource sharing, and essential youth preparation!

The AIM: Choosing Purpose Over Pressure

Peer pressure is real, but peer leadership is stronger. The AIM is T.H.R.U.S.T. CDC’s signature initiative designed to give youth, teens, and young adults the cognitive tools, emotional intelligence, and strategic mindset needed to successfully navigate negative environmental gravity.

Centering around this year's core theme, Choosing Purpose Over Pressure, our powerful lineup of guest speakers will pull back the curtain on social messaging, group dynamics, and the real-world cost of split-second choices. This session promises to be an enriching, eye-opening experience that empowers students to reject the noise of the crowd and confidently take control of their own narrative and future.

  • 🎯 The Marketing of Peer Pressure: Reclaiming Your Brand and Choosing Purpose Deconstructing how media, music, and social environments "sell" negative behaviors to youth as a false product, and learning how to reclaim your authentic self-worth to align your actions with your true purpose.

  • 🏛️ Behind the Walls: The True Cost of Split-Second Choices A high-impact, real-world reality check focusing on personal accountability, cognitive justice, and critical prison prevention strategies.

  • 🌐 Captive to the Crowd: Escaping the Peer Pressure Trap An interactive breakdown teaching youth how to decode group dynamics, stand firm against intense social pressure, and choose the freedom of personal leadership.
